Unless a page states otherwise, original Rhoizos writing, editing, curation, design, graphics, branding, and other original publication material are protected by copyright and related rights.

1. Ownership

Rights may belong to Rhoizos, an individual author, illustrator, photographer, contributor, licensor, or another rights holder. Credits on an article or image may identify the relevant owner or source.

2. Reasonable quotation

Reasonable quotation is permitted where allowed by law when the excerpt is proportionate to the purpose, preserves context, and clearly credits the author, article title, and Rhoizos. Online quotations should link to the canonical article where practical.

3. Republication

Full republication or substantial reproduction requires prior written permission unless a legal exception clearly applies. Licensing starts at US$600 per article and may be higher depending on the work, Rhoizos's editorial and creative contribution, the original author's terms, territory, language, medium, audience, duration, exclusivity, and intended use.

Payment alone does not create a licence. Permission takes effect only after Rhoizos confirms the authorised use in writing and any required payment has been completed.

4. Translation, adaptation, and derivative use

Translations, abridgements, adaptations, audio or video versions, anthology use, commercial educational use, syndication, and other derivative uses require separate approval. We may require author review, and every approved version must preserve the agreed attribution.

5. Images and third-party material

Photographs, illustrations, embedded media, quotations, datasets, and other third-party material may be subject to separate rights. A licence to republish article text does not automatically include those materials unless the written agreement expressly says so.

6. Branding

The Rhoizos name, logo, visual identity, and trade dress may not be used in a way that implies sponsorship, endorsement, partnership, or official status without written permission.

7. Copyright and rights complaints

If you believe material on the site infringes your rights, email hello@rhoizos.com and identify the work or right you claim, the exact Rhoizos URL, why you believe the use is unauthorised, and reliable contact information.

8. Permissions

For quotation beyond ordinary fair-use or fair-dealing limits, republication, translation, classroom reproduction, commercial use, or other rights enquiries, email hello@rhoizos.com or use the Republish form.
